Reid began surfing in his hometown of Solana Beach at the age of 6. He started competing when he was 11 years old and was ranked as high as 2nd in the state by the end of his high school career. Since then Reid has gone on to travel the world through his surfing career. His travels include Australia, Hawaii, Indonesia, France, Spain, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, Peru, Argentina and Mexico. Now at the age of 22, Reid Continues to surf for Globe, VonZipper, Chemistry surfboards and lifeguards for the city of Solana Beach, and works as a Jr. Lifeguard Instructor. Reid currently resides In North County, San Diego, where he joins the elite coaches at Fulcrum Surf.
