Our Elite team consists of the top eighteen high school
competitors in San Diego County- nine boys and nine girls.
Through mock heats, perspective members are evaluated
and chosen based upon ability and performance.
Chosen members hold their spots for four once-weekly,
intensive competitive training sessions, after which new
surfers challenge old vie for placement within the Elite team.
Through a mock competition, it’s place or be replaced,
as surfers compete for the privilege to be a part of
San Diego’s top competitive surf team- the Elite team.
