Fulcrum Surf recently hosted the Mauli Ola Foundation Cystic Fibrosis Surf Experience event at Powerhouse Park, Del Mar. The event focuses on getting children and young adults who have Cystic Fibrosis out into the water to have a great time and learn to surf. The ocean air, which is an elevated saline environment, facilitates the breakdown of mucus in their lungs when inhaled. It is suggested that surfing can be a natural treatment for Cystic Firbosis.
Mauli Ola’s very own Kalani Robb and Kala Alaxender were on hand to spread the aloha and help teach surfing. The event was a blast, leaving both participants and instructors smiling cheek to cheek by the end of the day. We would like to thank the Mauli Ola Foundation for helping put on a great event. We hope to do it again!
